The Infuriating Thing About The Tea Party

When Obama took charge, the tea partiers' attitude toward government spending was "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore!" ala Peter Finch in "Network".

However, when Bush was in charge, their reaction to his spending excesses was more like this scene from another famous movie.

Exactly.

I must confess to having an unholy amount of amusement at some of the Tea party candidates. What on earth would they DO if they were actually elected? None of them have any experience in problem SOLVING...just yelling about them.

As closely as I identify with any political movement, I identify with the Tea Party. And I've been saying "get out of my wallet" since 1990. This is not a new attitude for a lot of us. It's just that it's finally reached something like critical mass.
