Friday Night Fights: Lights Out - Round 10: Who You Gonna Call?

How do you fight a ghost? In tonight's special Halloween round of Friday Night Fights: Lights Out, I'm letting Moon Knight demonstrate with his own unique brand of ghost-busting, courtesy of Moon Knight#3, written by Warren Ellis and beautifully illustrated by Declan Shalvey.

Synopsis: A ghostly punk biker gang has begun haunting the streets of Manhattan at night, randomly menacing and beating up innocent bystanders. Moon Knight goes in to fight them, but because he can't touch them and they can touch and hurt him, he proptly proceeds to get his....moon....kicked. So he consults the Egyptian moon god Khonshu, as one is wont to do in these situations.

Long story short: It turns out he DOES have clothing items for fighting the dead after all.

So now it's time for Round Two.

Well, that's definitely not a proton pack. Let's see how that works out for him.

Pretty well, it turns out.

Moon Knight ain't afraid of no ghosts.

And neither is Spacebooger.

Tonight's fight music is...what else?

Friday Night Fights: Lights Out: Round 9: How Do You Stop A Rhino From Charging?

Tonight's round of Friday Night Fights: Lights Out will be presented in the form of a quiz.

Question: How do you stop a Rhino from charging?

a) Take away his credit card?

or...

b) Attack him with your special Hulk pants?

or...

c) Spray him with size-shrinking Pym particles and then sit on him?

The answer is "c".

The preceding multiple choice melee was brought to you courtesy of quizmasters Gail Simone and Udon, from their quizzical collaboration, Deadpool#66, with tonight's fight music coming from the Smashing Pumpkins.

Friday Night Fights: Lights Out - Round 7: Lights...Well, You Know!

Tonight's round of Friday Night Fights: Lights Out actually lives up to the aforementioned bout's name, courtesy of this embroglio-in-the-dark from Power Man And Iron Fist#66, written by Mary Jo Duffy and illustrated by Kerry Gammill and Ricardo Villamonte. Synopsis: The Daughters Of The Dragon, aka Misty Knight and Colleen Wing, set out to steal back the Jade Dragon from a group of thieves who had purloined it earlier. Unfortunately for them, said group of thieves is led by Sabretooth and the Constrictor. After they lock Misty in their vault, Colleen manages to get away and gathers reinforcements Luke Cage and Danny Rand, aka Power Man and Iron Fist, to rescue her. The plan is for Luke and Colleen to act as a decoy while Danny breaks Misty free. Unfortunately..

Fist manages to keep Sabretooth at bay, so Creed tries something different.

Uh-oh!

And it's...you guessed it....LIGHTS OUT FOR SABRETOOTH!

Tonight's fight music is this dimly-lit ditty by Peter Wolf.

Friday Night Fights: Lights Out: Round 6: Eyes Playing Jokes On You!

Tonight's round of Friday Night Fights: Lights Out will make you think your eyes are playing tricks on you. This refractive ruckus comes from Batman#294 by David V. Reed, John Calnan, and Tex Blaisdell.

Synopsis: In order to flush out the murderer of a Batman impersonator, the real Caped Crusader spread rumors of his own death, disguised himself as Two-Face, and arranged a series of fact-finding trials, with Ra's al Ghul as the judge, during which major Bat-villains, as well as Lex Luthor, claimed credit for ol' Bats' murder, with "Two-Face" tasked with finding them innocent. (It was the 70's, just roll with it.) The end goal was to make the real murderer reveal his proof. Said "real killer" turned out to be the Joker.

However, capturing the Clown Prince Of Crime proves to be a bit more....difficult.

Psychedelic!
